About Parking Lot
Parking Lot shows a crowded car park from above, with cars and vans parked every which way. Tap a car and it drives straight ahead, the way it faces, and out of the lot. If another car or a planter is in its lane, it bumps it and rolls back, which counts as a mistake. Work out which cars can leave first and empty the lot as quickly as you can.
How to play Parking Lot
- Tap a car: it drives straight ahead, the way it faces, and out of the lot.
- It only gets out if its lane is clear all the way to the edge. If another car or a planter is in the way, it bumps it and rolls back: that is a mistake.
- Empty the lot. Easy lots are 6 × 7 squares, medium 7 × 9 with two planters and hard 9 × 11 with three. Vans take three squares.
- Fastest time wins; fewer mistakes break ties. A hint shows a car that can leave, and counts as a mistake.
Tips & strategy
- Cars at the edge facing out are free; send them first and see which lanes open up.
- Only the lane in front of a car matters. Cars beside or behind it never get in its way.
- Planters never move, and no car ever faces one with an empty lane: every lot is made so that each car has its way out.
- Clearing any free car is always safe, because a car that has left never blocks another.
- Use Show the lane ahead to check a car’s path before you tap it.
Parking Lot: questions and answers
Can every lot be emptied?
Yes. Each lot is checked by a solver when it is made, and a car that drives away never blocks another, so any car with a clear lane is a safe choice.
What counts as a mistake?
Tapping a car whose lane is blocked. It bumps the car or planter in front and rolls back. A hint also counts as one mistake.
How is Parking Lot ranked?
By time, fastest first; players with the same time are ordered by fewer mistakes.
What changes with the difficulty?
Easy lots are 6 × 7 squares, medium lots 7 × 9 with two planters, and hard lots 9 × 11 with three planters and over forty cars.
