About Code Breaker
Code Breaker hides a secret code of four symbols. After each guess you learn how many symbols are exactly right and how many are the right symbol in the wrong slot, but not which ones. Use the clues to narrow down the code in eight tries or fewer.
How to play Code Breaker
- Fill the four slots by tapping symbols, then press Check.
- Each guess gets two counts: ● exact, the right symbol in the right slot, and ○ near, the right symbol in another slot.
- Easy uses five symbols, medium six. On hard days a symbol can appear more than once.
- Crack the code in eight tries. Fewest guesses wins, then the fastest time.
Tips & strategy
- Open with four different symbols to learn which ones are in the code.
- When you are close, change only one or two slots at a time so each clue tells you something specific.
- Keep every earlier clue in mind: your next guess should agree with all of them.
- On hard days symbols can repeat, so do not rule out a double.
- If a guess scores no exact and no near, none of its symbols are in the code at all.
