Canadian History tells Canada’s story, from Norse visitors at L’Anse aux Meadows and the founding of Quebec City to Confederation, the maple leaf flag and modern milestones. Famous Explorers follows the travellers who mapped the world, including those who crossed Canada by canoe and searched for the Northwest Passage, as well as polar explorers, mountaineers and deep-sea divers.

As with every quiz on the site, you get 10 questions a day that start easy and end with a real challenge. Every answer includes a short explanation, and every fact is checked against a reliable reference. We keep the quizzes family-friendly: we focus on discoveries, inventions, places and people, and we avoid gory details and present-day political debates. When a first or a record is disputed, the question says “is credited with” or names the claim carefully.

A good way to learn history is to connect dates to stories. When you see a year in a question, think about what else was happening at the same time. Play every day and you will start to see how events in Canada and around the world fit together. The quizzes are also a handy way to prepare for school projects, museum visits or trips to historic sites.
