About Tower Stack
Tower Stack is a one-tap game of timing drawn in real 3D. A slab slides over the top of your tower, in from one side and then the other, and you drop it with a tap. Whatever hangs over the edge is sliced off and tumbles away, so a sloppy drop leaves a narrower top and the next slab is harder to land. Drop it right on the slab below and you keep the whole thing; string three perfect drops together and each one after that grows the slab back a little.
How to play Tower Stack
- A slab slides over the top of the tower, in from the left on one floor and from the right on the next. Tap the board, press Space or the Drop button to drop it.
- Whatever hangs over the edge of the slab below is sliced off and falls away; the part that is left becomes the new top, so the tower gets narrower with every sloppy drop.
- A perfect drop keeps the whole slab. From the third perfect in a row, every perfect grows the slab back a little. Miss the tower completely and the round is over.
- The slabs speed up as you climb, and special floors bring a narrow slab or a fast one. The daily challenge has the same speeds and special floors for everyone; scores stay on this device.
Tips & strategy
- Watch the edge of the slab below, not the moving slab: drop when the two front edges line up.
- A perfect drop is worth more than speed. Three in a row start growing the slab back, which rescues a tower that has gone thin.
- The slab bounces at each end of its run. If you miss the moment, wait for it to come back rather than tapping late.
Tower Stack: questions and answers
How do I play Tower Stack on a phone?
Tap anywhere on the board to drop the sliding slab. On a computer you can also press Space or the Drop button.
What counts as a perfect drop?
A slab dropped within a hair of the one below. It snaps into place, keeps its full size, and from the third perfect in a row it grows back a little.
What are the special floors?
Every few floors a special slab comes in: a narrow one that is thinner than the top, or a fast one that slides much quicker. The daily challenge has them on the same floors for everyone.
