About Four Groups
Four Groups shows sixteen words that hide four groups of four. Some groups are plain categories, others are wordplay: words that hide another word, sound like something else or fit before the same word. Find all four groups before you make four mistakes.
How to play Four Groups
- Select four words you think belong together, then press Submit.
- Find all four groups before you make four mistakes. “One away” means three of your four were right.
- Each group is labelled Easy, Medium, Tricky or Devious when found. Some words seem to fit more than one group.
- Fewest mistakes wins, then the fastest time.
Tips & strategy
- Look for the group with too many suspects. If six words seem to fit, two of them belong somewhere else.
- Leave the group you are least sure about until last; the leftover words often sort themselves out.
- Say the words out loud and look inside them. Some groups are about sounds or hidden words.
- “One away” means three of your four words are right, so swap just one.
