About Canadian History Quiz

Canada became a country on July 1, 1867, when Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick joined in Confederation, but its story starts long before. The Canadian History Quiz covers the Norse at L’Anse aux Meadows, Champlain and New France, the fur trade, the founding of Montreal and Quebec City, Confederation and the provinces that joined later, the railway, the maple leaf flag of 1965 and the milestones that followed. Every date and name was checked against references such as the Canadian Encyclopedia, and questions where the date was in the name were replaced.
