About Foods of the World Quiz

Poutine was first served in Quebec, butter tarts are a Canadian classic and Nanaimo bars are named after a city in British Columbia. The Foods of the World Quiz starts with Canadian favourites and then takes a food tour of the world, from paella and pierogi to pho, sushi, jollof rice and tagine, with questions on where dishes come from, what goes into them and the kitchen words used to make them. Dishes that several countries proudly claim were left out, so you will not be asked to settle a famous food argument.

  • Canadian regional dishes are a big part of the quiz: learn a few from each province, from Quebec’s tourtière to Newfoundland’s fish and brewis.
