About Animal Quiz
The Animal Quiz is a little of everything from the animal kingdom: which animals are mammals, birds or reptiles, record-breakers on land and at sea, strange habits, what animals eat and where they live, from the Arctic to the rainforest. It is the friendliest of the animal quizzes, with many easy questions, so it suits younger players and family games, but the last questions of each day still hold a few surprises, such as the animal that sleeps only about two hours a day. When you find a group you like, the other animal quizzes go deeper on birds, mammals, insects and more.
How to play Animal Quiz
- Press Start for the first of ten questions. The clock starts with it and stops at your last answer.
- Each question asks about an animal: its group, its home, its food or a record it holds.
- Tap an answer, or press 1 to 4 (or A to D) on a keyboard. Answers are final: you see the right one and a one-line explanation, then press Next.
- Most correct answers ranks first, then the fastest time. Only a member’s first finished quiz of the day counts for the leaderboard.
Tips & strategy
- Sort the animal into its group first: mammal, bird, reptile, amphibian, fish or insect. That often rules out two options at once.
- Think about habitat: an animal that lives in the Arctic, the desert or the deep sea has features that match its home.
- Be careful with names: a killer whale is a dolphin, a starfish is not a fish and a koala is not a bear.
