About Capitals of Asia Quiz

Asia stretches from Türkiye to Japan and from Siberia to Indonesia, and it holds more than forty countries, so its capitals make a good long challenge. The Capitals of Asia Quiz starts each day with names most people know, such as Beijing and New Delhi, and works up to the capitals of Central Asia, the Caucasus and the Gulf, where Tashkent, Bishkek, Baku and Muscat wait. Some questions name a big city and ask for its country. Indonesia, which is moving its capital, and capitals whose status is disputed are left out, so every answer is settled fact.

Tips & strategy

  • Learn the “-stan” countries of Central Asia together; their capitals are the hard core of the quiz.
  • Many Asian capitals are not the biggest city: think of Ankara rather than Istanbul, or Naypyidaw rather than Yangon.
  • Gulf capitals are easy to swap: Doha is Qatar, Manama is Bahrain, Muscat is Oman and Abu Dhabi is the United Arab Emirates.
