About Units and Measurements Quiz
Canada uses the metric system, but recipes, road signs across the border and old family stories still bring in inches, pounds and miles. The Units and Measurements Quiz asks you to convert between them: metres and centimetres, litres and millilitres, kilograms and grams, hours, minutes and seconds, Celsius and Fahrenheit, and a few handy imperial units. The easy questions use metric prefixes, and the hard ones use real conversion factors, worded as “about” when the answer is rounded. The questions are made fresh by the computer every day, with options far enough apart to be fair.

Tips & strategy

- Remember a few exact links: one inch is 2.54 cm, one mile is about 1.6 km and one kilogram is about 2.2 pounds.
- For temperature, 0 °C is 32 °F, 100 °C is 212 °F, and each Celsius degree is 1.8 Fahrenheit degrees.
